Das war der SolidarEinsatz Österreich 2024
Unter dem Motto „gemeinsam tun, gemeinsam lernen“ ist am 28. Juni ein gelungener Südpartner*innen-Besuch zu Ende gegangen. Drei Monate lang bereicherten Paula und Valentina, zwei Freiwillige der DKA-Partnerorganisation Casitas Biblicas aus Bogotá, den Dialog auf Augenhöhe und den Wissenstransfer zwischen Nord und Süd. Denn gemeinsam lernen und tun bereichert alle, die beteiligten Einrichtungen und involvierten Personen. Erst wenn Menschen sich begegnen dann leistet das ganz konkret einen positiven Beitrag für das Zusammenleben in einer dann hoffentlich global gerechteren Welt.
Paula Andoa Jara und Valentina Farias Pulido der Organisation Casitas Bíblicas, Bogota/Kolumbien waren von Anfang April bis Ende Juni in Salzburg zu Gast und konnten wichtige Erfahrungen Sammeln und sich und ihre Fähigkeiten in unterschiedliche Organisationen und Aufgaben einbringen. Sie haben ein paar Eindrücke und Erfahrungen für uns schriftlich festgehalten:
I was born in Casitas Biblicas
“I was born in Casitas Biblicas, an organization founded by my parents and other families in Bogotá, Colombia. The objective was to transform our lives in the context of various social issues. In this organization, many people found a safe place, psychological support, and different workshops. I have participated in many activities, including youth groups, theater, dancing, and Bible school.
I discovered my spirituality in an agro ecology group called „urban gardens.“ Connecting with nature has helped me understand the importance of environmental care. When I received the news about the exchange program in Austria, it was a surprise, as I did not expect it. However, I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity.“ (Paula Andoa Jara)

Paula ist Chemikerin, verantwortungsbewusst, selbstständig, neugierig, wissbegierig. Seit Kindertagen in der Organisation Casitas Biblicas verwurzelt und als wichtige Botschafterin für dessen Aufgaben und Ziele unterwegs. Geht offen auf Menschen zu und traut sich vieles auszuprobieren, findet interkulturellen Austausch sehr wichtig, lebensverändernd und zentral!
Intercultural Exchange: the opportunity to share knowledge
“I found a new family in Casitas Bíblicas. A safe place for being myself and a place for growing in spiritual, personal, and professional ways. I am an example of how the people in Casitas welcome everyone. For them it doesn’t matter, how long you are contribiuting: you are important to them since your arrival. As a social worker in Casitas Bíblicas I have participated in different processes and projects. And I will continue to help and learn.
For me, the opportunity of going to Austria was a surprise! It was a great signal of confidence and affection that Casitas Bíblicas gave to me. During these three months in Salzburg, we have learned about the culture, history, and architecture of various cities in Austria. Additionally we also got to know different organizations such as DKA, Caritas, AAI, YoCo, HOSI, and others. We learned about methodologies and the areas in which they work. We prepared workshops on children’s rights, children’s ecological rights, home, and other topics. “ (Valentina Farias Pulido)

Das ist Valentina, Sozialarbeiterin. Sie ist verantwortungsbewusst, respektvoll, kreativ, anpassungsfähig. Sie arbeitet gerne in und mit Gruppen, ist wissbegierig, setzt sich für die Umwelt und die universellen Menschenrechte ein. Im Rahmen eines Praktikums während ihrer Ausbildung zur Sozialarbeiterin kam sie mit der Organisation in Bogota in Berührung. Dadurch lernte sie Casitas Biblicas als einen sicheren Ort für alle kennen und schätzen – deshalb ist sie geblieben!
We met new people who will stay in our hearts
„We had the opportunity to share our knowledge and sometimes taught about Colombia and Casitas Biblicas. Additionally, we hosted a special dinner with AAI, where we prepared Colombian dishes. Throughout these months, we participated in various events, concerts, and movie screenings organized by AAI.
We are grateful to Caritas, as volunteering with them allowed us to understand how they work with young people in Austria and the methodologies they use in their workshops. As volunteers with Caritas, we participated in workshops, supported their social media efforts, and collaborated in Carla’s shop and the Logistics Center. That experience allowed us to meet new people who will stay in our hearts. That has been an enriching and unforgettable experience.
We are grateful for all we have learned and for the new friends, we have made in another part of the world. That exchange allows the young people of Colombia to learn from and share with people in Austria. For our organization, it’s a great opportunity to showcase our methodologies, and our work in Bogotá, and to find common points that contribute to the exchange process.
We hope to have left a mark and impact when we talk about the history of Casitas Bíblicas, its participants, and the Colombian context – So Casitas Bíblicas and every Austrian social organization that has a special connection, will continue the exchange process and new youths get more hope in the life.“

Riesengroßes Danke an unser Netzwerk: Für das herzliche willkommen heißen, das Hosten der beiden im Rahmen von Schnuppertagen und Teilnehmen lassen an unterschiedlichsten Aktivitäten allen voran Katholische Hochschulgemeinde, Kapellhaus, ABZ Haus der Möglichkeiten, Hosi Salzburg, YOCO Salzburg, Talk Together, Bibelwelt Salzburg uvm.

Mehr über das Projekt SolidarEinsatz
Mit dem SolidarEinsatz vermittelt die Dreikönigsaktion der Katholischen Jungschar Österreichs seit 2009 erfolgreich Praktika und Volontariate bei ihren Partnerorganisationen im Globalen Süden. Dieses Angebot richtet sich an entwicklungspolitisch Interessierte und Engagierte, die ihre Kenntnisse und Fertigkeiten mit den Projektpartner*innen vor Ort teilen wollen und bereit sind, sich auf neue Einblicke und Erfahrungen einzulassen.
Mit dem „SolidarEinsatz Österreich“ als Revers-Programm wird die Einbahnstraße aufgehoben: Nicht nur Europäerinnen können in Länder des Globalen Südens reisen, um dort Erfahrungen zu sammeln, nun wurde dies erstmalig in Salzburg auch Mitarbeitenden der Partnerorganisationen mit Rahmen eines dreimonatigen Aufenthalts in Österreich ermöglicht. Von April bis Ende Juni 2024 erhielten zwei Freiwillige aus dem Umkreis der Südpartner*innen die Möglichkeit, für Fach- bzw. Interessensspezifische Lernerfahrungen und Austausch, für drei Monate nach Österreich diesmal nach Salzburg zu kommen.
